Interlibrary Loan Forms
What is Interlibrary Loan?
Interlibrary loan (ILL) lets LBCC students and staff obtain materials that are not available in the LBCC Library. The Library requests them for you from another library. Please limit your requests to five a week and do check your local library catalog before requesting ILLs. Linn and Benton County residents with LBCC Library privileges may also place ILL requests.

Making an ILL Request

First check through EBSCOhost's databases or the LBCC library catalog to make sure you cannot already obtain the material. Then use the relevant form at the top of the page.

What Happens When Materials Arrive?

You will be contacted by email, phone, and/or regular mail. Requests generally take 1-2 weeks to complete. Uncommon items may take longer. Pick up and return items at the Circulation Desk - two weeks is a common loan period for interlibrary loan items. Ask library staff if renewal is possible.

Distance Students

Distance learning students may request that items be mailed to them if they are unable to come to the Library. [Those requesting mail service become responsible for the cost of any borrowed items and are also responsible for the return postage.]

What can I request?
Yes - books; copies of individual articles from journals, magazines and newspapers.
No - reference materials; whole issues of journals, magazines or newspapers.
What if I need it now?
For specific books, check one of the local libraries.

For articles, ask one of our librarians for help. We can often find a full-text copy of the article for you, or a suitable alternative.
